Emma Heaver is based in South Devon and has 18 years experience in practicing Architecture. Her varied and wide experience ranges from working in the commercial sector, public authority, and bespoke green oak framing. Emma set up her own practice in 2004 and now specialises in individual, bespoke designs for private clients. |
Emma has extensive experience in designing houses in sensitive settings including barn conversions and Listed Building Consents. She works closely with planning authorities to achieve successful planning applications.
All of Emma's designs are hand-drawn in pencil and ink at the planning stage, then developed on computer for the working drawing stage of the project.

In July 2009 Emma gained a Distinction in a Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Conservation at the University of Plymouth. The course included:
the legislative framework related to Architectural Conservation;
the attitudes and philosophies of conservation;
the evaluation of historic buildings; the
techniques for care, repair and retrofitting of historic buildings and the care and repair of cob buildings.

Emma is now working towards her professional accreditation for membership of the IHBC (Institute of Historic Building Conservation) and is currently studying for an MA in Architecture Conservation. |
